Although not all publications are design driven, they do rely on some form of presentation. Whether your pages are graphic- or content-heavy, effectively communicatiing your ideas comes down to just that: presentation.

Photography, illustration, and type treatment can help your publication stand out. Understanding this, I remain involved in the creative directon of publications. In keeping pace with design trends, application upgrades, and emerging technologies, my approach to publications design is one of having choices, and finding the right way to achieve a desired goal.

Washingtonian Magazine. This photograph was named as one of five finalists for the publication's inaugural photo contest, "Summer Memories." Selected from over 350 entries, Potomac Kayak was shot near Westmoreland State Park, VA, in the middle of the 6-mile crossing to the Maryland side of the river.

crestock.com elects Great Wall photograph to Best Image Archive. Said Crestock: "The lighting here is excellent, with the wall forming a natural border between darkness and light, within the photo. The mellow colours and the gradual fading of detail, caused by the mist, adds to the calm morning feel of this photo."
